State Farm® Ranked High by J.D. Power

Aurora, Ontario, November 17, 2008 -- State Farm has been ranked highest in the 2008 Canadian Home and Auto Insurance Satisfaction Study by J.D. Power and Associates.

The inaugural study measured the auto policyholder experiences with their insurers. It measured customer satisfaction across five factors: customer service; price/premium; policy offerings; billing/payment; and claims. State Farm ranked among the best in four of the five factors.

Power and Associates on what we’ve heard from our customers, as we have been serving them for the past 70 years in Canada,” said Senior Vice President Bob Cooke.  “This study confirms our focus of being the customer’s first and best choice, providing great service, value and being there for them when they need us. We’re very proud of our employees and agents for their hard work and thankful to our policyholders for acknowledging our service to them.”

State Farm, one of Canada’s largest auto insurers – operating in Alberta, Ontario and New Brunswick, had a score of 757.  The industry average score was 701.

The J.D. Power and Associates 2008 Canadian Home and Auto Insurance Customer Satisfaction Study is based on 8,965 responses from auto insurance policyholders though a nationally representative online survey in August 2008.
