State Farm jams with Can Your School Rock

Sponsors winning band’s music video and closed captioning for final episode of high school rock band competition

Aurora, Ontario.  August 27, 2010.  –  State Farm is a big supporter of Canadian youth and talent and will be a major sponsor in this year’s final episode of Can Your School Rock.

Can Your School Rock is the ultimate battle of the bands competition for the newest generation of up-and-coming rock stars. This event spans both private and public schools across Ontario and Quebec.

The season finale airs Sunday, August 29, at 12 noon on Global Television. The winning band takes home $10,000 in new music equipment, a $20,000 scholarship and a professionally produced music video sponsored by State Farm.

“These bands are incredibly talented and have some extremely gifted young people showcasing their music and writing skills,” says John Bordignon, media relations specialist for State Farm. “They are the future rock stars of their communities. State Farm believes in supporting and helping these young people realize their dreams and exposing their talent to the masses.”
