Across the Company, more State Farm employees support Claims than any other business function. Two roles in high demand are:

Claim Representative

  • Investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling claims
  • Verifying coverage, legal liability, and extent of injury to people and damage to property
  • Preparing computerized estimates in loss settlements
  • Answering insurance-related questions from customers

Claim Processor

  • Applying claims settlement procedures to process claims assigned by claim management, claim representatives, and/or electronic assignment
  • Providing assistance to claim representatives by initiating claim payments, and/or closing assigned files, as directed
  • Recognizing, referring, and processing subrogation of claims
  • Answering insurance-related questions from customers
